# Close the Preferences popup - Click away option

There is an option for the Preferences modal of the cookie banner to be closed with a click-away function.

# Where to find it?

To enable the option, please follow the steps here:

1. Go to the **Cookie banner** tab

2. Open the **Behavior** page

3. Find the **Interaction and display controls** section

4. Toggle the  **Dismiss on outside click** ${color}[#3b891f](On )or ${color}[#da1616](Off )depending on your preferences

# How it works?

It gives you the option to enable **closing of the Preferences modal,** of the Cookie banner, **not only from the X icon** of the popup but **also by clicking anywhere on the page**.
