# Customer Events - Custom Pixel Integration

As per some recent updates introduced by Shopify, you now have the option to add custom Pixels via the Customer Events section in your store.

For the pixels that you may have there related to either Google, Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, Tiktok or any other popular tracking service, in order to ensure that they are set as per the GDPR requirements you can follow the below steps.

1. Go to the **Settings** section on the bottom left corner of the store admin

2. Access the **Customer Events** section

3. From the list of **Custom Pixels** select the one you want to set

4. In the pixel details **>>** **Customer privacy** **>>**  **Permissions** set the requirements for firing the pixel

**For example** if you are setting up the option for a **Facebook pixel**, which is a **marketing** service, you would need to select the **Marketing category** as a requirement to be accepted, for the pixel to fire in the visitor session upon cookie bar acceptance.

Once the above changes are set, the **custom pixel will regard the consent signals** received from the **Consentmo GDPR cookie bar** in the store. **That is possible due to the app integration with the Shopify Customer Privacy API.**
