Do Not Sell banner button - Functionality

Below you can check more details on how the functionality Do Not Sell button in the cookie banner can be changed.

Meaning you can alter the way if works, and set it to block more than just the marketing cookies as it is as per the US laws requirements, but set it to block all tracking as well.

How this works

To adjust this, you can follow the steps here:

Open the Cookie banner tab
Go to the Behavior section
In the Consent model part, if the Do Not Sell / Accept banner is already selected, below you will see "Show more" and the option for Cookie state after Do Not Sell

if you want a certain category to be blocked once the Do Not Sell button is clicked, the checkbox for it needs to stay un-checked.If the goal is for a category to stay active even if the Do Not Sell button is clicked, the checkbox for it needs to be ticked.

Example of the default and recommended setup where:

Statistics Cookies - Allowed after Do not sell is clicked
Marketing Cookies - Blocked after the Do not sell is clicked
Preferences Cookies - Allowed after the Do not sell is clicked

Setup with Smart Geotargeting enabled

With the Smart Geotargeting enabled, the option will re-allocate and will be available only for the regions where the Do Not Sell / Accept banner is used.
