Setting up your store's compliance
In order to have all the settings in the store and our app, to ensure your compliance, we would recommend the following:
1. Navigate to your Shopify Admin > Online Store > Preferences > Customer Privacy >and in the section for “Choose when marketing and analytics data is collected for customers from the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland:”.
The recommended “Collected after consent” option is the one you can select in order to have Shopify’s and our app’s settings fully integrated with each other and have tracking on visitors corresponding to their consent.
2. In addition to that, if you have any tracking services set from the Preferences section in your Shopify Admin, it would be best to check the option for "Use Enhanced Ecommerce" for all of them so they can be blocked until consent via the cookie bar is given by the visitor, as shown below:
3.You can also change the initial state of the cookie groups in the app settings from the Cookie Bar tab > Cookie Bar Behavior > Initial State Of The Cookie Bar for all the cookie groups to be blocked initially, as shown below:
4. If you have any Google, Facebook or other Tracking services are also activating before the visitor gives consent and it would be best to check our Setup Guide, point "6. How to add blocking of tracking services: Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc..?"
5. Last but not least, If you want the "Accept" button to accept all cookies when it is clicked, please set the option "Regard the Initial State Of The Cookie Bar for the 'Accept' button" located in the Cookie Bar tab > Cookie Bar Behavior to No.
In addition to that, please make sure that your Privacy Policy page is linked to the Cookie bar in your store. You can do this from the Cookie Bar tab > Cookie Bar Content > Privacy Policy Link, as shown below:
