In the Privacy center tab now you can create a single page that will ensure you have all data requests your store visitors may need in one place, based on their location.

How this works?

Please refer to the short video guide on how the Smart Privacy Center page can be enabled and edited further:

Setup

The Setup section controls how customers access the Smart Privacy Center and which countries they can select when submitting a privacy request.

Footer link

Use these settings to add the Smart Privacy Center to your store’s footer navigation.

• Add link to store footer

Enable this option to automatically add the privacy page to the footer menu. A privacy icon may also appear next to the link where required.

• Link text

Set the text displayed in the footer, such as Your Privacy Choices.

• Preview

Open the selected footer menu to review its current setup.

Country of residence

Choose which countries customers can select when submitting a privacy request.

• Manage countries

Open the country settings and select which locations should be available on the page.

All countries are available by default.

Design

The Design section controls the appearance of the Smart Privacy Center. You can adjust its colors, add custom styling, and preview the page before saving your changes.

Color & Styles

Use these settings to match the Smart Privacy Center with your store’s branding.

• Page background

Sets the background color of the page.

• Page text

Sets the color of headings, labels, and other text.

• Button text

Sets the text color inside buttons.

• Button background

Sets the background color of buttons and key actions.

Custom CSS

Add custom CSS for more advanced styling, such as spacing, borders, widths, or font adjustments.

Preview

Use the preview to review the page and thank-you screen on desktop or mobile before saving your changes.

Content

The Content section lets you customize the customer-facing text shown on the Smart Privacy Center page and its confirmation screen.

Multilingual privacy center languages

Enable the multilingual Smart Privacy Center to translate the page into the languages supported by your Shopify store.

Select a language to edit its content. The default store language is marked accordingly.

Privacy Center content

Use the text editor to customize the main content displayed above the privacy request form.

You can format headings, paragraphs, links, lists, and other page elements.

Thank you page

Customize the content displayed after a customer successfully submits a privacy request, including:

• Heading
• Message

All available content can be edited separately for each enabled language.

Emails

The Emails section lets you customize the verification email sent when a customer submits a privacy request through the Smart Privacy Center.

Brand details

• Display name

Sets the business name shown in the email. It uses your Shopify store name by default.

Contact footer

• Footer note

  
  

  
  Adds an optional contact message at the bottom of the email. Use {reply_to} to insert your contact email automatically.

Verification email

Customize the appearance and content of the email customers receive to verify their request.

• Color & Styles

Adjust the email background, text, button text, and button background colors.

• Email logo

Enable this option to display your logo at the top of the verification email.

Content

Customize all available email text, including:

• Subject line
• Body text
• Button text
• Footer text

Use the preview to review how the email will appear before saving your changes.

Who is that applicable for?

If you are operating globally or in more than on region, for example, EU, US and Asia, this above feature is the perfect fit for your business, as it will give you the peace of mind that you have all possible requests the visitors form these regions may need to submit and have the right to submit as well.
