Web Accessibility Analytics

The Accessibility Analytics section in Consentmo gives you visibility into how visitors interact with your Web Accessibility widget on your storefront.

These insights help you:

  • Understand which accessibility features are actually used
  • Monitor engagement trends over time
  • Demonstrate accessibility usage and effort for audits and reviews

Where to find Accessibility Analytics

  1. Open Consentmo GDPR in your Shopify Admin

  1. Go to Analytics

  1. Select the Web Accessibility tab

Date range selector

At the top-right, you can filter analytics by:

  • Today

  • Yesterday

  • Last 7 days

  • Last 30 days

  • Custom range

All metrics update dynamically based on the selected time period. There you also have the option to set a custom date range:

Overview metrics

Widget opens

This shows how many times visitors opened the Accessibility widget.

  • A higher number means visitors are actively engaging with accessibility controls
  • Percentage change compares usage with the previous period

Total interactions

This shows the total number of actions taken inside the accessibility widget.

An interaction includes:

  • Enabling or disabling a feature
  • Adjusting text, colors, or navigation aids
  • Using reading or visual assistance tools

Top features

This section highlights the most frequently used accessibility features.

Examples you may see:

  • Bigger text – users increased font size
  • Image tooltip – image descriptions were enabled
  • Reading mask – focus aid used for reading content

This helps you understand which accessibility needs are most common among your visitors.

Granular stats

The analytics for the features available in the Web Accessibility widget can also be checked in more detail by category.

The categories there are the following:

  1. Text and display adjustments

These metrics track features that improve readability and text clarity.

  1. Color adjustments

These tools help users with visual sensitivity or color contrast needs.

Use these insights to see how often visitors rely on visual adjustments to comfortably browse your store.

  1. Navigation adjustments

These features support focus, orientation, and page structure.

These tools are especially helpful for users with cognitive or attention-related accessibility needs.

How to interpret the numbers

  • Counts = number of times a feature was used
  • Percentage change = comparison with the previous selected period
  • A dash (—) means there was no prior data to compare

There is no “good” or “bad” number — usage simply reflects how visitors interact with your accessibility tools.

Why this data matters

Accessibility Analytics can help you:

  • Validate that accessibility features are actively used
  • Identify which tools are most valuable to your audience
  • Support internal accessibility reviews or partner audits
  • Demonstrate continuous accessibility effort on your store

Important note

Accessibility Analytics track feature usage only. No personal data or identifiable user information is collected or stored.
