Consentmo TCF v2.2 Compliance

The Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) version 2.2, developed by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Europe, is a standard designed to help ensure digital advertising continues to respect users' choices and align with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

It aims to provide a clearer communication path between publishers, advertisers, and users regarding data usage and consent.

Recently, Consentmo has been approved as a Consent Management Platform (CMP) by IAB Europe. After rigorous testing and evaluation, Consentmo has been added to the official list of CMPs that meet the compliance standards set by the IAB Europe’s CMP Compliance Program. This approval reaffirms our commitment to providing top-tier privacy compliance solutions that meet strict industry standards.

As per the above, now you have the option to enable this for the cookie bar in your store as well, by navigating to the Other Settings tab > Integrations section > TCF 2.2 page. The feature is available exclusively for all Enterprise plan users.

Enabling

Once you access the TCF 2.2 page of the Integrations section, you will be able to directly activate the service by hitting the Enable TCF Compliance button there

Changes

In the next section you will also be able to see what changes exactly are set for the cookie bar preview and how it will appear for the store users from this point on

One of the main changes that are automatically made for the preview of the cookie bar is the text content, which is configured in a way to explain to the visitors how is the data collected and handled in the store, and also explaining the options the visitor has and the choices they can make on this via the cookie bar:

The changed text content that is set for the Cookie bar is specific and is not recommended to be edited, as it is structured as per the TCF requirements.

Vendors list

In the last section of the integration page, you can see the option for selecting the Vendors/services the store is operating with, and have implemented there, in the means of collecting data on the visitors.

We recommend that a list with only the services used in the given store is set from there, to avoid any confusion for the store visitors and to ensure that the integration will work correctly for your compliance and for the safety of the visitor's data
