Shopify's Consent Tracking API integration

The Consentmo GDPR app is fully integrated with Shopify's Consent Tracking API, and in order to control the data collection from any tracking service added via the Preferences section of your Online Store, the Facebook Pixel or Google Sales Channels you can set your preferences in the Customer Privacy section, as shown below:

Navigate to your Shopify Admin > Settings > Customer Privacy >and in Cookie banner section, you will be able to select which regions you wish the data for your visitors to be collected after they consent for this via the Cookie bar in your store.

Once you access the Cookie banner section you will have the option to Edit this list, and select the Recommended EU+EEA countries and add more locations there if needed, in which you want the data collection to be Collected after consent.
Depending on the option you select there, please make sure that it also corresponds to the settings you have in the Consentmo GDPR app as well.



The setup which we recommend, based on the requirements most customer privacy laws have, to not track any data before consent, is to block all cookie groups in the app settings initially and in your Shopify Admin to select the recommended “Collect after consent” option, however, it is up to you and the needs of your store.
