Enabling the Cookie bar for specific regions

Enabling the Cookie Bar for specific regions is a crucial step to ensure your store's compliance with various data privacy laws across the globe. To configure this setting:

Head to the General tab in the app's dashboard.
Look for the Enable for Specific Regions section. Here, you have the flexibility to select one or more regions where you want the Cookie Bar to be displayed. This feature is incredibly useful if your business operates in multiple areas, each with its unique privacy regulations.



As you can see in the reference above, the available regions for which the cookie bar can be enabled separately at the moment are the following:
EU/EEA + UK (GDPR) - This option includes the following countries from the EU + EEA: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden
Brazil (LGPD)
California Visitors (CCPA-CPRA)
Virginia (VCDPA)
Colorado (CPA)
Connecticut (CTDPA)
Utah (UCPA)
Canada (PIPEDA)
Enable for Japan (APPI)
Enable For All Countries (If you need the cookie bar to be shown anywhere else outside the separate countries/regions above)

Note: For businesses with a broader audience, the Plus and Enterprise plans offer an enhanced feature - Enable for All Countries. This option ensures that the Cookie Bar appears for every visitor, irrespective of their geographical location, providing a comprehensive solution for global compliance.

The above option can also be used in case the country or region you need to he cookie bar to be shown in is not available in the regional settings of the app.

Tailoring the Cookie Bar visibility according to specific regions or globally ensures that your online store adheres to the varying privacy laws and regulations. It's a significant step towards fostering trust and transparency with your customers, regardless of where they are shopping from.
