Limit Tracking for different countries

Our app is integrated with Shopify's Consent Tracking API, which helps with the prevention of tracking your customers, based on the regulations set by the GDPR and may other Customer Privacy laws.

In order to limit the tracking for the customers from Europe, you would need to navigateto your Shopify Admin > Settings > Customer Privacy >and in Cookie banner section, you will be able to select which regions you wish the data for your visitors to be collected after they consent for this via the Cookie bar in your store.

Once you access the Cookie banner section you will have the option to Edit this list, and select the Recommended EU+EEA countries and add more locations there if needed, in which you want the data collection to be Collected after consent.

Check the list of countries this needs to be applied for as per your stores needs. For example, if you are looking to comply with the GDPR law, you need to select the Recommended option which include all EEA+UK countries.

Note: If you have Google tracking services added through Shopify's Online Store > Preferences, you need to tick the option for "**Use Enhanced Ecommerce**", in order for them to be blocked before consent, as shown below:

Note that once you select the regions, the collection of data after consent applies for the services like Google, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and other trackers added via the Shopify channels directly. For example, if in the app settings you still have the cookie groups blocked initially, the Shopify Analytics cookies will be blocked for all the store visitors the cookie bar is enabled for, regardless of their location. Due to this you need to control the allowing and blocking of each cookie group from the app settings.
