How to translate the app by using metafields?

In the app settings, locate the Settings tab > Language & Tranlations section. There you will see the options for changing the language for all the elements of our app, like Cookie Bar & Preferences popup, Language for the Data Collection text, GDPR/CCPA Request pages and emails, and the GDPR and APPI Compliance pages as well.

There you can also find instructions on Integration with translation apps, as well as options to manage metafields code, as shown in the screenshot below:



In order for the metafields to work with your translation app, you would need to press the Refresh Metafields button, and afterwards add the code to the theme.liquid file manually. After that, the metafields should be visible in the settings of the translation app you are using.

How to add the code manually to the theme.liquid file?

* Manual Setup (Free plan users)



Navigate to the Translation tab and locate the Metafields section.

There, you will find a straightforward three-step process: First, refresh the metafields using the provided button > copy the metafields code > visit the theme.liquid file by clicking the link provided.

Once in the theme.liquid file, paste the copied code just below the opening <head> tag to ensure it's properly integrated.

Don't forget to save your changes to finalize the setup.

NOTE: Make sure to remove the added code before deleting the app. This way, no snippets of code will be left in your theme. For more information on what you should be aware of when deleting our app check this article of our FAQ page.

* Automatic Setup (All Paid plans users)



First and foremost, please make sure that the app is enabled in the theme settings. You can check more on how to ensure this article - Enabling App Embed

Once you ensure this is done, navigate to the Settingstab > Language & Tranlations section > Automatic setup

Hit the Enable metafields button. Once the metafields are set, the indicator for the automated setup shown below, will be changed to On
